The agency announced on Thursday, May 11, that an officer was implicated in a shooting near the intersection of South Catherine Street and Frederick Avenue before 2 p.m.

No details were initially released by investigators.

A police spokesperson was called to the crime scene shortly after 2 p.m. on Thursday afternoon.
